Ars Amorata
Zan Perrion launches Enlightened Seduction, a philosophy of “a more elegant, a more excellent, and a more enlightened way of interacting with women and moving through this world”.
Zan leaves Canada and hits the road, accepting all invitations, wandering everywhere from Tokyo to Cape Town, from Panama to Spain.
Author Neil Strauss devotes an entire chapter to Zan in his New York Times bestseller The Game, calling Zan “…the undisputed heavyweight of the genre… in four years, he never once asked for advice, he only gave it.”
In an interview, Zan mentions “The Story Of My Life” by Casanova and “The Ars Amatoria” by the Roman poet Ovid as some of his influences. The reporter misquotes it in her magazine article as The Ars Amorata. And a brand is born!
In 2006, Zan played himself in the Hollywood movie Let the Game Begin starring Adam Rodriguez, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Natasha Henstridge, Stephen Baldwin, and Michael Madsen.
The Amorati brotherhood is established, eventually growing to hundreds of members all over the world. Zan and partner Hans Comyn travel everywhere together evangelizing and recruiting new members.
In a seedy New York bar, Amorati member Brian Chui sketches the first draft of Zan's design for a logo on a napkin. (And now over 30 people have the logo tattooed somewhere on their body!)
